North Shore Commuity Kirtan: Presents Ambika Elizabeth

Our October show case presents a New York musical Kirtan talent Ms. Ambika Elizabeth.

Kirtan is call and response chanting, a meditative form of communal singing. Ambika has been a singer for many years. In a former incarnation she sang in various bands in NYC until she discovered chanting with Krishna Das around 1996. Kirtan had a profound effect on her, and lead her to India where she continued to deepen her connection to the chants. This practice has become her refuge over the years and she is grateful to be chanting the Divine Name with so many others. She recently release a new CD, 'Mother's Calling', on the Mantralogy label.

Sri Yantra Creation & Prosperity Ritual with Sarah Tomlinson & Ambika

You are invited to bring your flowers and presence to the creation of the Sri Yantra, the sacred diagram mapped out in the space which will be filled with colors, flowers and candles. The ritual includes a dharma talk, meditation and sacred chanting. The benefits of this specific ritual are to increase your prosperity in the areas of love, wealth and health.

An ancient ritual practice from Northern India, yantras are geometric symbols that contain the specific energy of a planet or deity. They are part of the tradition of tantra which also gave rise to mantras (audible sounds used for healing), and remind us of the places in ourselves that we have forgotten, such as our strength, our capacity to love, and our effortless abundance. Yantras mirror back to us their positive qualities, helping us to be whole again.

Please bring one bunch of Yellow or Pink flowers to offer during the creation of the Yantra Ritual.

If you would like to have more time with the yantra experience, you may arrive anytime after 6pm.
